Western Railroad Discussion > Westbound Wednesday, SF Bound Freight In Last Light of 6/21Date: 06/22/22 08:12 Westbound Wednesday, SF Bound Freight In Last Light of 6/21 Author: FiveChime Just a minute too late to capture UP 9917 on the point but at least I got some record.
This is at Broadway crossing in Burlingame, California where in my lifetime living nearby, I've probably seen over 1000 trains pass. The current freight schedule has the westbound freight passing here around 8:30 PM with a good sized train heading toward San Francisco with termination in South City. Last car had a load of rail. Often though, the last car is former DRG&W cupola caboose apparently used as a shoving platform. Evidence of coming Cal Train electrification is quite visible. Regards, Jim Evans Date: 06/22/22 09:30 Re: Westbound Wednesday, SF Bound Freight In Last Light of 6/21 Author: atsf121 I like that first photo Jim, well done!
