Fly by Rail
Author: swaool

1 - A westbound stack train with Boeing cars first out passes the power from MRL's 840 local.
2 - The 840 local's power in the process of running around their train.  It says "SD45" on the frame of the 355, does she retain her 20-cylinder prime mover?

Note that the classic NP searchlight signals are about to be replaced.  Both photos 7/26/2022, Townsend MT.

Awesome quality video and thanks for starting with the milepost location.
MP 592 is between Black Rock and Read on the Caliente Sub.

Necessary as with BNSF reasserting control, PTC becomes mandatory -- thus no searchlights.

Yes. The four remaining SD45s on MRL still have their 20-cylinders. The 355 is the only one in service at this time.

MRL started this project before the lease termination was announced and there are still a few searchlights left in use in PTC territory on BNSF
