H2 GEVO solo leader on an early morning loaded unit grain shuttle
Author: jmulhol2

A 117-car, 6,700+ foot-long, 16,300+ ton loaded unit grain shuttle train from Langdon, ND --to-- Madison, IL with power configured 1x2 is seen here departing the west end of the BNSF Grand Forks, ND train yard during the early morning hours of 09/13/2022. This train had earlier come off the BNSF Glasston Subdivision in a 2x0 configuration with the current DPUs leading. Note the friendly railfan honks at the beginning of the video and the classic "chugga chugga chugga" of the powerful GE DPU motors.

Train symbol: G-LANMAD

Power:
BNSF #7683 (GE ES44DC; built: 03/2005; H2 paint scheme)
x
BNSF #8227 (GE ES44C4; built: ??/????)

I hope the route for that grainer is relatively flat.....??!!  16,000 tons and C4s don't exactly belong in the same sentence......
