New UP 60 ft Boxes/possible first loads

These 2 new UP high-cube 60 ft boxes are ready for loading wood products on the former UP Joseph Branch. Spotted at La Grande 9/18/22.  No trespassing artist work....yet.

Was wondering if/when these were going to see service in the northwest. I saw a couple sitting in a cut of cars in the UP yard in St. Louis yesterday, too, so they are getting around everywhere. Thanks for posting.

It's nice to see the return of the Yellow boxcars.  If only BNSF would return the Santa Fe Red or BN green.

You still see quite a few of them out there, especially in Santa Fe red.

UP boxcars have gotten quite rare however.

UP's "TBOX-type" cars are 700000-700499.  The BKTY cars, identical to the UP's in every way including the paint and small UP herald appliactions, start at car number 160000, which is the thousands' number series above their 50-ft. boxcar number series which is 150000---.

Saw one of these coming off the CBRW in Connell Wa the other day. Almost looked out of place so yellow and shiny.
