Nice series today Larry. I like the Geep in the trash train. I remember to see a plant to burn trash near Wishram.
The old Mack truck is very nice too.

18 looks like North Broadway where it crosses over the SP "Bullring" yard.  The buildings of downtown LA are just out of view on the left.  Elysian Park in the background

Great trio. Nice to see the Warbonnets and H-1s as trailing units and DP in your neck of the woods too.

No 18, as Topfuel has correctly identified, is on the North Broadway bridge, looking southwest. The freight
cars are on a combination of Santa Fe (nearest) and SP yard tracks with the Frisco box on a Bullring track
and the yellow reefer on a track leading to the Cornfield yard. This freight yard location is the first yard SP
developed in Los Angeles and dates to the 1870's. As far as I can determine there was some manner of
streetcar service on either this or a predecessor bridge spanning the Los Angeles River at this location
dating as far back to at least 1893 when N Broadway was known as Buena Vista St.

No 20 appears to be at the Division 4 car barn; located at 12th & Georgia Sts. Div. 4 remained in service to the
end, March 31, 1963. The rig appears to be able to respond to all but the most demanding emergency calls.

Snow on top of freezing rain!
Watch your footing, or better yet shelter in place.
Rain all day here in Washougal but always a bit above freezing.

Thanks Mac for your nice comments, I too like seeing the older units along with EMD units. Thanks Charlie for your interesting classroom of helpful information on the traction and freight train yard locations, much appreciated! Thanks "railstiesballast" for the suggestion of shelter in place, exactly what I did, lol.

Ritzville Action
Frozen fog sure makes for gloom; much better when clearer skies returned.
Grain and coal really dominate the bulk traffic category.
Late #27 made for an unusual photo op that you took nice advantage of.
Unit Of The Day is BNSF #9786.

Historic Traction
18 - Photographer made a great location choice; truck following streetcar is a late 1940's/early 1950's Chevrolet panel truck.
20 - Louisville Transit had a couple trucks configured like #69 in photo.
21 - #106 in the foreground is a Flxible Model 45096-6-1 built in 1974, #810 in the background is a GM Model TDH-4517 built in 1960.

Always appreciate your time and dedication.
