Ex DQ&E D-28 to Kingman Terminal.....but not yet
Author: tferk

This former DeQueen & Eastern GP38-2 is destined for the Kingman Terminal RR at Kingman, AZ.   It left Belen on 11/10 headed west on a Belen-Barstow manifest, passing through Kingman, and landed at Barstow.   I caught it yesterday morning in Flagstaff, AZ, headed back eastbound on a Galesburg-bound freight.  It was set out at Winslow and is now planned to leave on tonight's Winslow-Kingman train.

Foreign line locomotive movements on Class Ones often take on a life of their own. We were waiting on one for over a month a while back as it traveled the country back and forth seemingly randomly. Very frustrating.

Amazing how they couldn't just set the dang thing out the 2 times it's already passed through Kingman.

I'm curious what ID this unit is moving under.  Will BNSF's computer system accept a road number with letters and dashes in it?

It went to Barstow to get humped. Everything with a Do Not Hump order is begging to get humped.

I got a picture of it at Tulsa.  I had assumed it was heading south back home from rebuild.in October.

Probably to handle those 50 car cuts going into FedEx (he said, hoping). I'm wondering with Nucor ramping up
if BNSF contracts the Kingman area switching.
