That's One Way to Knock Down the Leaves!
Author: NickWolters

After completing their work at the Union Pacific interchange, the Stockton Terminal & Eastern crew heads eastward with inbound cars as OMLX 1050 shoves on the rear. An SE10B produced by Knoxville Locomotive Works, the whirling rooftop fans forces leaves to the ground (Roosevelt Street) in this scene.

Nice video, and good to hear that KLW unit under load.  I was under the impression the STE used to come on duty early evening and do most of their work in darkness.  Has that changed under OmniTrax ownership?

Thank you,

Mike Derrick

Thank you. ST&E has been planning to expand its operations for some time and they are currently in the process of doing so. I think the plan is to have a job working in the morning and evening to keep up with business, retaining the Monday-Friday schedule.

Good video, I need them to come through my yard and get the rest of my leaves down.! I realize this is a low speed switching move, but it still makes you nervous seeing steel beams on a non-bulkhead flat car next to 3257 HOT placards on tank cars. Any idea of the load, asphalt maybe?

I believe the tank cars were empty and headed for storage.

Has the ST&E gained more customers?  More trackage?  Thus more operations??
