A westbound 2x2 climbs into Homer on the Needles Sub last October. The DP was framed atop the bridge at MP595, which at that time was the only one west of Ibis not yet hidden by a new structure for the third track being constructed like the one at MP599.

While I was on the Needle Sub back in March, a bridge inspector filling in as a track inspector advised me to shoot them all as they will be gone in the next decade or less. His admonition produced this shot of the one at MP667 just west of the old Route 66 crossing at Amboy.
