Due to a minor switching derailment in S Topeka (near Pauline) both #3 & #4 are way late. #3 is finally running and should be by Emporia easily by 1:30 CDT. #4 hasn’t left Osage City yet, and may be waiting to be re-crewed. No other info available…

Here is news coverage and some pics from the derailment on the BNSF Topeka sub.  The derailment involved a local job that switches several factories south of Topeka.  Specifically, the train was switching the Mars (yes, M&M candy) factory when the derailment occurred.  The same train also works the large Frito Lay (Doritos and potatoe chips etc) plant.
