Rainier Rail coming into Roy, WA
Author: Macster

It has been a hot minute since I posted any railroad-related photos but here we go! I uploaded the goods in the wrong order but alas...

The video is of the Southbound trip with 14 cars from Frederickson. They'll stop at McKenna on their way south to pick up a car from Wilcox.
The first photo is the Northbound train after stopping to meet me and dropping some switch list covers for the crew.
The second photo is the train departing Frederickson. They'll take the train to Western Jct tonight and do the interchange(s) tomorrow.

Photos and video were taken on a Google Pixel 6 Pro

Nice catch! While it's a pleasure to see trains taking the long way to Frederickson again on the MILW/TE rails, it will certainly be sad to see the fabled Tacoma Gulch route become a bike trail.

Not slated to become a bike trail - It is up in the air as of right now what it'll become.

It'll become a homeless encampment.

More than likely.

Yes, agree that the horn is horrible.  Ugh

Southern Railway electro-pneumatic P-chimes would often sour like that.  Probably a chime going bad.  As long as the decibels stayed up, they ran them that way.  Some contended the sour notes attracted more attention.  On some applications like the Southern's second SD45 order, it probably did.  I enjoyed the video too.
