SP Caboose on Oregon Trunk
Author: billmeeker

Just saw a heavily-graffiti'd SP bay window caboose go by on the rear of BNSF 6150 North at Redmond, OR.  Redmond is just north of Bend on BNSF's Oregon Trunk.  I couldn't get a photo because it was going one way, and I the other.  The consist was also cool:  BNSF / CP / CP / NS - all facing north.

Does BUGX 4709 show anything on the BNSF? It is the former SP police caboose that was in Bakersfield.

And maybe anything for BUGX 4759? SP caboose 4759 was stored in Stockton on the UP and disappeared in just the last couple of weeks. Wondering where it might have wondered off to.

Apparently still SP 4759. Nothing else that I can see.

It was spotted going through Dunsmuir last week or so.
Very unusual, one of those 'something is not like the others' and then oh, an SP caboose under all that spray paint.

Currently shows them being around Pasco at 12:30 AM this morning.
