I have heard that the former Santa Fe depot along the AZ & CA RR has been demolished.
Any confirmation of that?

I rode that Parker-Peavine trip that Let's Travel Tours operated in 1985.

Does anyone know why the depot was demolished?  I've been to Parker a few times (including a Williams to LA steam trip with a night at Parker) and it didn't seem to be in bad shape.  I believe that Parker has the A&C headquarters, so they must have some alternative office space to use instead.

It's right there in the linked thread-- To make room for some new yard tracks.

The real news is that they need more yard tracks.

Took the words right out of my mouth! Sad news for the depot but on the other hand possibly more freight traversing the line.

Three are industries out there but the chicken feed comes in blocks snd is spotted, the outbound alfalfa goes out for
export in a block, ther local tank traffic gets immiedtaely spotted. be interesting to see what's on the horizon. G&W
spends Capex money wisely, something is brewing.
