Remembering a Veteran--And Monday Meet . . .
Author: SCKP187

On this Veteran's Day remember those who have helped keep our way of life free, and thanking them for their service.

1.     My Dad going into the Navy 1941ish in Clay Center KS
A couple other photos taken over the years during his RR career once he got out of the U S Navy

2.     One night on the City of StLouis Trn #9  station stop in Salina KS approx midnight.  I used to ride with him ocassionally to Ellis KS where his trip ended, wait 1 hour and then take #10 back to Salina arriving early enough to go home and get ready for work---all this time being listed as "carried one bye" on the paperwork.

3.     Conductor H D Stevens with engineer L D White 1961ish at unknown location and unknown photographer

4.     Now for the Monday Meet--my Dad on the caboose of Trn 118 had a meet with a Junior Old Timer's passenger special at Riga KS--Bob Helling photo

Thanks for looking
Brian Stevens

What a cool thread! Nicely done for your dad, who I wish I could have met…
