BNSF Seattle Sub Freights at Day Island, WA
Author: zchcsse

This clip from late July, 2024 features a pair of BNSF freights on their Seattle Subdivision passing by Day Island.  Day Island is located in the greater Tacoma area and is between Steilacoom/Chambers Bay to the south, and Titlow to the north on the railroad.  It's a small "island" with a bunch of houses on it that juts into Puget Sound.  A bridge spans the tracks and a bit of water to access the island, and offers the views seen in this clip.

First-up is a northbound BNSF manifest.  The entire train is shown.
Second-up is a southbound BNSF vehicle train.  Some of the train is cut out for time, but it was all autoracks.

Thanks for watching!

No more passenger trains here, though.  Those are now on the Point Defiance Bypass.

Some of the grafitti on the merchandise train is almost unbelieveable.  Thanks for posting.
