Pica, Arizona action back in July 2006
Author: Super_C

The quiet of an early morning scene at East Pica, AZ is interrupted by the passing of BNSF 4734 East .  The climb from Needles, CA has ended on the mesa in the background at Yampai and looking at the track in the distance shows the abrupt drop from Yampai to Pica.

Very nice John!  I wonder if that old water tank is still there?

Excellent view as always.  You are a real master of the long lens.  I tend to shy away from long shots but perhaps I should update my repertoire.

The grade chart is interesting.  I don't know where I got the idea the ruling grade was 1.25% eastbound.  Good info.
