Date: 03/12/25 16:01 Re: CPKC conductor opening Author: Railbaron Looking at the entire ad it shows $200 per day while in training for 16 weeks and then followed by "$246.68 to $282.94 on-the-job training", which sounds more like a daily rate rather than an hourly rate. It also shows only 2 positions open and 80-90% of your time "traveling". It sure sounds as if there is a lot more to this than the basic ad says. As a note, using Indeed, the site this ad is on, CPKC shows the average hourly rate for Shreveport as being $26.70, or $276 per day.

Strange, since Vicksburg only sees trains passing through town these days. CPKC has a pair of Locals that visit town, but they turn at Vicksburg and head back to their home terminals.
