Wyoming Wednesday
Author: swaool

An eastbound gets underway out of Newcastle (WY) on the Black Hills Sub.  Believe this was essentially a local that worked between Gillette WY and Alliance NE but not sure of symbol.  At one time there was an M-EDGDEN (Edgemont SD to Denver) which handled local work on the Butte sub, but this is on the Black Hills sub west of Edgemont.  December 2, 2015.

Nice one, Mike!  Do you know what current traffic levels are like on the Black Hills sub?

Been there several times.  Huge 90 degree turn that makes for great photos.  Good job, Mike, thanks for posting.

I was up that way with Mike last year. I would say not terrible but really hit or miss. We would see a few trains in a couple hours, and then nothing for a long stretch and then a few more.
