Western Railroad Discussion > Massive Power on BNSF Southbound Oregon TrunkDate: 05/03/25 16:52 Massive Power on BNSF Southbound Oregon Trunk Author: Seventyfive Two hours ago I saw a BNSF creeping southward through Redmond, Oregon with NINE motors on the head end
and one helper on the rear. Sorry I couldn't post earlier; didn't have my iPhone with me nor my laptop. I cannot recall having ever previously seen nine motors on the point of a BNSF train, not even on 991. Yeah, nine units up front, but how many are running and on-line? Willing to bet that it's only four or five units working. Shipping dead locomotives to Barstow.

Still, seeing that much power was quite a sight. I haven't seen anything roll through Redmond at a decent clip in about two months or so. If anyone knows why please advise. It will be handy there if things change.

Could any of them be the same as those you saw? https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,6015906 wyatt |
