Western Railroad Discussion > Heads up! Ex-SP&S loco on ex-SP&S rails tomorrow

Ex-SP&S Alco FA1 #860 (currently KLIX #7375 will be traveling on BNSF's Northtown to Pasco freight, through the 'Funnel' area, then along home rails between Spokane and Pasco, tomorrow. It is currently between Cut Bank and Whitefish, MT.

It will eventually get setout in Cheney, WA for the Washington Eastern Railway to deliver it to the Inland Northwest Rail Museum in Reardan, WA, where it will receive a cosmetic restoration, back to its SP&S livery, in the future.

So... is it going all the way to Pasco and then back to Cheney?  Or getting dropped-off at Cheny on the way to Pasco?  'Couldn't quite tell from your description.  Thanks for the heads-up!

It will probably be set out at Spokane, and then sent out on the Lind Turn, who works Cheney, in the next couple of days. Late afternoon movement originating from the BNSF Spokane Yard, aka "Yardley" on Mon-Fri, early morning movement on Saturdays, nothing on Sunday.

Minor correction Drew..   Lind turn runs Sunday thru Thursday with the Scud turn early Saturday morning..

Also, will only be on former owner’s alignment for 
about 9¾ miles from SW-of Latah Jct. to Fish Lake,
and that assumes it wouldn’t take the Lakeside ‟sub” 
main from Sunset Jct. (e.g.:  over ex-BN/NP main,
which is generally used-by E/b’s).

It went through Ritzville, on the way to Pasco, a little after 1 this afternoon.
