The UP local arrived Searles 1100 today. 72 cars. There is half a coal load here and cars in the distance by the water tank. Will they run an extra to get the coal?
They still leave Trona in the afternoons?

Anything could happen! They could put the empties and the half coal into a single train but they could also make 2 runs. If they do that one will probably be lunchtime and the other later in the pm. If they're not desperate for the 72 empty cars they might leave those until Thursday or Friday.

They do usually make an afternoon run leaving Trona at about 2-3pm but there can be quite a bit of variation...

Worked out good. They had their train ready and gone around 1430. Nice day for a chase. 5 units. SP-UP-SP-UP-SP
