Western Railroad Discussion > BUGX Meets Rock Train in Downtown Santa BarbaraDate: 07/01/25 20:51 BUGX Meets Rock Train in Downtown Santa Barbara Author: spsniper Two interesting movements for the coastline, BUGX 1322 catches a ride on the southbound Guadalupe Hauler after serving the Santa Maria Valley Railroad for many years. As it slowly rolled past me and eventually stopped, I figured it would meet an Amtrak, but was pleasantly surprised when this rock train came into view. Right place, right time!

Saw a lot of 1322 on the NWP a decade back and when there was that post on the new power being delivered I was wondering if 1322 was still on the railroad. Interesting to know it's headed back to Stockton or Chemurgic or wherever Dieselmotive is sending it.
