That along with "corporate raiders" were the thing a generation or two ago. Most people forget that Berkshire Hathaway got rid of their Union Pacific shares to avoid "conflict of interest" when they bought BNSF. That removed the incentive for BRK to "play" the merger talk to make money off of Wall St. idiots. I've deliberately not wasted time in analyzing the proposed UP/NS merger, because other big money in Wall St. with "no conflict of interest" have a lot to gain with the merger game. I wonder if they are disappointed that BRK didn't take the bait. I am disappointed, because it's fun watching people lose their minds. Anyway, I have no problems with your starting a new thread.
