I know the Cal-P is the preferred way for UP but man Altamont Pass is beautiful when its green.

It's not for IM because Oakland IM trains work Lathrop and so go Altamont.

Nice shot. I must have been standing next to him. The first three units were from a WPE and were helping a westbound Ford Fast over the hill on 2/15/81. U30Bs leading were not common by that time. Here is a second or two later.
