ex-DRGW SW1200 #133 Colorado heads up!
Author: dklaRR

Former Rio Grande SW1200 #133, now owned by the Promontory Chapter of the NRHS, is making its way home to Utah for preservation. It is currently on a BNSF Lincoln - Denver Train. As of now, its showing Akron at 12:27, Brush at 14:46, Denver at 23:24....also showing to leave tomorrow at 20:00 on the Denver to Provo, but we'll see if it makes that train or not. It is traveling with KLIX (Klarr Locomotive Industries) Reporting Marks. I'll try to reply to this post with updates.

Great news! I remember seeing those at Roper Yard on the 90’s, think they disappeared after the UP merger with SP.

Was this a Denver engine? I see the friction bearings have been changed. Utah got the roller bearing engines from the factory.

It made it to Denver right around midnight last night. Not sure if it's sitting in BNSF's Yard or Loco area, but might be visible today. It is scheduled out on BNSF's Denver to Provo train tonight at 8:00, per the 'Trip Report'.

Stop blocks are visible in the pockets.
