Western Railroad Discussion > Ex-Amtrak 1100 80-tonner to Hudson Terminal Rail CODate: 11/26/25 16:22 Ex-Amtrak 1100 80-tonner to Hudson Terminal Rail CO Author: cozephyr Former Amtrak 1100, 80-tonner General Electric center cab, was delivered by semi-trailer to new owner Hudson Terminal Rail Services at Hudson, Colorado, located along BNSF's Brush Subdivision on Wednesday, 26 November 2025. Here are views of two cranes unloading the 1100.
Amtrak 1100 was usually hidden away at the Amtrak Wilmington, Delaware, shop facility. She was built for Department of Defense ex-US Army rail yard work. Anyone know where she was posted-? Amtrak once had this unit numbered 11 and featured Operation Red Block letter with "Prevention Through Education" on its frame. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 11/26/25 16:35 by cozephyr. Maywood closed in 1960, no idea where she was after that.
