Rain and the holiday train
Author: SWMO_Rails

Given the storm, this is pretty much the best I could do. We originally started the day at Ashbury, MO, and had set up for a nice shot at the northern crossing until a BNSF TXUX empty coaler pulled up to clear the south switch to the siding. After watching it go by in Joplin, I was playing with the idea of getting it passing through Noel, MO, but could not quite figure out the best angle to get the train at in town. The scanner also revealed another train holding in the siding there, so I decided to try my luck at Ginger Blue. This was the outcome of about an hour's wait.

Really nice catch. Hopefully you got some shots later in darkness for the lights effect.

I understand there were passenger cars at the rear of this train.  Sure wish someone could have caught them instead of the power. which we've seen repeatedly.
