Sunday played out exactly how Friday SHOULD HAVE played out. I caught a westbound Soda Ash Train at Farewell Bend and they called out a Approach Diverging in advance of the Rock Island siding, so I knew there was going to be a meet there. As soon as I got to Huntington I confirmed there was a clear signal eastbound out of town meaning I had not missed the eastbound. But almost immediately the detector at MP386 went off and I went up to my photo spot. Before long the train came into view. The light was a little better on Friday as it was four hours later and the low sun cast shadow detail on the landscape. but no train until after the sun had set.

The photo and post from Friday. The blue light of the shadows combined with the yellow to really bring out of the green that evening.
