Shadows and Swallows
Author: swaool

This is the CNWNR-31, ETRX coal empties from Independence AR to the New Rochelle mine in WY, coming through CP B283 on the North Platte Terminal sub and about to duck under the Poplar Street bridge.  The MNPPR-03 was doubling out on the departure lead and casting a long shadow, but I decided to take the shot anyway, thinking that the contrast between light and shadow might look dramatic.  Then I got photo-bombed by a flock of swallows.  Win a few, lose a few.  01/03/2026.

Nice shot! Pretty sure those aren't swallows though... swallows are very small summer visitors..... these could be mourning doves.
