It looks great for the F7A 403 and F7B 1503 the F7A 402 may have its own restoration coming but only for a static display there isn’t even a prime mover left inside the unit. BUT never say never i have learned!! Picture of the 402 engine room below Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/16/26 14:25 by IDEAL_1. Date: 02/16/26 14:24 Re: An inside look of the CCRG part 2. Author: IDEAL_1 Date: 02/16/26 14:24 Re: An inside look of the CCRG part 2. Author: stevelv Thank you for the inside look. I need to get back there and ride the train. We were all ready to ride one day in June 2021 and when we got to the depot we noticed the limited amount of people and cars with only an hour until departure time. We were told the train was cancelled that day and later found out it was because the FRA had been snooping around that day and didn't like something so they made them cancel that days train. Maybe you remember that and can add some details? I believe we just had bad luck and it ran the next day but we needed to be back in Denver the next day.

Nice things going on there in Canon City. Gonut |
