Western Railroad Discussion > Coal Empties from the S J Valley to Utah or beyond?

watching the various  railcams  available  these days from Edison near Bakersfield , Calif   to Caliente, Nev, an empty coal train Eastbound ,Saturday was able to be followed

power was UP6801-7445-5522  and a 90 car consist of CITX hoppers

times passing the various railcams were as follows

Edison Ca  1058  Saturday
Walong       1249
Cable          1310
Tehachapi   1320
Mojave        1407
Daggett       1545
Caliente       0336 Sunday

when it passed Caliente the power had altered to  UP 9830-6700-8131-6801-7445-5522    still with 90 cars

additional head end units  added at Yermo or Las Vegas  perhaps ?

9830  would have been C&NW 8726 previously,  it appeared freshly painted as well

the symbol origin and destination are now known

I was wondering about this train also & thought it was the Ore train that was mentioned here in the last week.
Surprised it came from the valley. I hadn't seen those cars & red end for the rotary coupler before in the west.
