Love the AS616.
They were a symbol of SP and Trona.
The only AS616's in California.

'Sorry to say that the only time I ever saw the center-cabs in person was when the Espee hauled them dead-in-consist over Beaumont in 1974 on their way to a new owner.

The only AS616's in California.

Um....no.  

Kaiser had several, a couple purchased new plus some second hand machines, on the Eagle Mountain Railroad.  McCloud River had one, though it was second hand from SP.

Like the silver paint version. Very similar to one McCloud unit.
