Western Railroad Discussion > Three Trains Amtrak, UP and BNSF at Rocky, CODate: 03/01/26 10:46 Three Trains Amtrak, UP and BNSF at Rocky, CO Author: cozephyr UP dispatcher ran BNSF's Denver, CO, to Provo, Utah, ahead of Amtrak's Winter Park Express, train 1105. Waiting at Rocky Siding west of Arvada, CO, was Union Pacific 6951 East on a 105-car loaded coal train set up 2x2x2. Coal load came from the Arco West Elk Mine, CO, and was headed to Memphis, TN. Winter Park Express had Amtrak 170 & 150 on the 7-car Superliner train to Winter Park Ski Resort and Fraser, CO.
Above Rocky Siding is Eisele Siding (formerly known as Fireclay back in the Denver & Rio Grande Western RR days). BNSF westbound H DENPVO was too long for Eisele meet so continued to Plainview Siding where the Winter Park Express ran around the BNSF westbound. You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos.
