A Loram rail grinder pulled into Ritzville yesterday, and after a one-night stand, departed before sunrise this morning.

Nice video!  Do you know if they need pilots(engineer/conductor) on that thing or is it considered MofW?

A MOW employee is the pilot when working.

Great video, and now I'm wondering what's in those tank cars front and rear of train, maybe grinding lube oil or something? (I'm assuming the water tank is self contained in the last water car).

This car is marked that it contains water, with fire-suppresent foam.

Was that grinder working west bound or east ? Hopefully it comes up to Vancouver . More Tacoma . Been trying to catch it working for a long time .
