BNSF Retired SD70MAC's to Cleburne, TX - Scrap Dealer

BNSF 9262, SD70ACe, moved 15 dead retired SD70MAC's from Guernsey, Wyoming, to Cleburne, Texas, as light power train D GUECLB south on Colorado's Joint Line at Larkspur, CO, 2 March 2026.  Train was operated as 1x1 with BNSF 3904 added as rear DPU at Denver, CO.  Amongst the retired units was BNSF 9402 one of the earliest SD70MAC's.

NO sound video.

Always sad to see locos headed to scrap. Funny as I recall how revolutionary the early AC units were. Where I live it was the first Conrail AC locos. My kids called them whiteface engines. My kids are now 35 and 32 years old. Almost my age when they were born.
Time really does fly by...

Adding to other similar sentiment, It's a bit unsettling to see locomotives being scrapped that I remember well when they were placed in service.  Doesn't feel that long ago, but it is ~30 years.

One more thought, the Grinstein Green sure held up better than Heritage II.  Thanks for sharing this footage.
