Train was operated as 1x1 with BNSF 3904 added as rear DPU at Denver, CO. Amongst the retired units was BNSF 9402 one of the earliest SD70MAC's.

Where I live it was the first Conrail AC locos. My kids called them whiteface engines. My kids are now 35 and 32 years old. Almost my age when they were born.

Doesn't feel that long ago, but it is ~30 years.
One more thought, the Grinstein Green sure held up better than Heritage II. Thanks for sharing this footage. Tim Costello |
