CPKC unveils KCS 1776

Fresh from the paint shop 03-03-2026, CPKC unveils KCS 1776 and its commemorative locomotive livery honoring the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence & celebrating the founding of the United States of America. 
KCS 1776 becomes the first of five new Tier 4 locomotives being built and painted at Wabtec Corporation Fort Worth, Texas, facility in 2026 with this livery proudly honoring America.

UP 5594 & 5657 was out on the test track yesterday, 03-03-2026 at Wabtec Fort Worth.  

Found an older RPN photo of UP 5594 invovled in a wreck by D. Collin Reinhart.
