Western Railroad Discussion > JLCX 302 in IowaDate: 03/04/26 20:19 JLCX 302 in Iowa Author: Agent Last week, it was reported that JLCX 302 was on the move in Washington: https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,6145186. This morning, I was surprised to see now on a train in Iowa traveling eastward on the BNSF Ottumwa Sub. I managed to catch it as it came by me.
1) The mixed freight train is running left-handed as it approaches the top of the grade at Agency, Iowa. My first guess is that this is a LINGAL from Lincoln, Nebraska to Galesburg, Illinois. 2) ES44C4 BNSF 8198 leading. 3) Dash 9 BNSF 4607. Date: 03/04/26 20:21 Re: JLCX 302 in Iowa Author: Agent 4) GP39-3 BNSF 2626 is the first of three standard cab EMDs in a row, which is rare enough sight before getting to the one that isn't BNSF.
5) SD40-2 BNSF 1951 is marked as a remote control unit. 6) Fifth of the first five is JLCX (ex-CBRW) 302. Date: 03/04/26 20:23 Re: JLCX 302 in Iowa Author: Agent 7) It's been reported this GP9 is on its way to Indiana.
Moving on to some of the freight cars. 8) A load or two of railroad wheels is a common sight for a LINGAL. 9) Burlington Northern green covered hopper BN 460807 looks like its on its last trip judging from the spray paint marking out its reporting mark and number. The two boxcars in front of it were the same way with the addition of "Scrap" written out next to the marks. Date: 03/04/26 20:25 Re: JLCX 302 in Iowa Author: Agent 10) BN 468588 still rolling along.
11) Another old BN hopper, but open-topped this time. BN 531928 looks like it carries old ties now. 12) A Conrail autorack marked to be going back to its home shop for repair.
