Joel Poland Columbus, NE Date: 03/17/26 05:03 Re: BNSF in McCook, Nebraska Author: 3rdswitch That is a nice catch. Saw this train pass through Palmer Lake, CO, on the Joint Line. Two things different, a single unit on a loaded rail train is unusual BY HERE, and, who owns those blue cars? Have never seen them on BNSF before, normally the brown BNSF cars?

Date: 03/17/26 08:00 Re: BNSF in McCook, Nebraska Author: CrossTieWalker The cars carried a VSR reporting mark.
So ... they are owned by the V & S Rwy. LLC. (Valley & Siletz Railroad Co.)? Or is there a new owner of that mark? Craig Date: 03/17/26 08:41 Re: BNSF in McCook, Nebraska Author: swaool V&S Railway LLC is a subsidiary of A&K Railroad Materials, who specialize in dismantling rail lines and selling the used track materials as relay rail.
