GE Vernova Gas Turbine in CO on BNSF 17 March 2026
Author: cozephyr

BNSF moved GE Vernova built gas turbine (corrected per helpful crew member as of 19 March 2026) on BNSF from Smithboro, IL, to Loveland, CO (interchanged to Great Western Rly Loveland Transload) on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.  BNSF 5933, ES44AC, moved Kasgro KRL 204041 heavy duty depressed car and caboose KRL 080.  Train was headed west in the Hudson and Barr Lake, CO, areas.

Xcel Energy is moving this equipment to their Fort St. Vrain gas generating station.

Hope gas prices stop climbing soon...

NO sound video at Utah Junction north of Denver, CO, 17 March 2026 on BNSF's Front Range Subdivision.

The caboose belongs to Kasgro, not the railroad, and the employees on it are Kasgro employees.
