It seems like the UP treats CPKC trains on its rails as a third class railroad sometimes. This is at the rebuilt Eureka Jct in Houston. When I arrived the CPKC train on the left was waiting at the signal. An hour and a half later it was still waiting as UP sent three trains around it - one of them here. The CPKC is using UP rails from Rosenberg to Beaumont. Gary Date: 04/02/26 05:51 Re: Side by side in Houston Author: AndyBrown A story as old as time! Great action shot nonetheless!
Andy Date: 04/02/26 07:06 Re: Side by side in Houston Author: elueck I am sure that if it gets bad enougn, that CP-KC can retaliate by dealing with UP westbounds from Deridder, LA to Beaumont. The problem is that with directional running, CPKC has only UP westbound traffic to delay, while UP can delay ALL of CPKC traffic

texchief1 Date: 04/02/26 08:01 Re: Side by side in Houston Author: AaronJ Yeah, nothing new as every class 1 plays this game. Being a tenant on another class 1s line is never the same as running on your own rails. With that being said, Creel is playing the train length game on the Meridian Speedway but he seems to forget UP controls CPKC access to Mexico. Creel is a moron.
