Western Railroad Discussion > Golden 4-2-2026 Part 2Date: 04/03/26 11:46 Golden 4-2-2026 Part 2 Author: Denverrails1 While I missed the shot I wanted earlier in the day, on the way back to Golden in the evening, I caught this Beer Train on a line that leads into the lower Coors yard. I'm not sure of the operation but is not unusual to see in bound trains on this particular track.
I can only speculate that this allows the BNSF to deliver the cars directly to Coors's yard but if someone can fill in more details I sure appreciate it Date: 04/03/26 14:41 Re: Golden 4-2-2026 Part 2 Author: mojaveflyer This line comes off of the Golden Branch at Terrill Jct. It's in the distance down the street from where you shot this photo. It crosses 44th Ave and Hwy 58 and drops down to the east end of the Coors Yard. Beer Runs enter the yard from this end, drop off their train and then pull up to the Golden Depot adjacent to the main Coors building. The out bound train (back to Denver) are built from the yard by the depot and they progress east down to C&S Jct where the trains enter the UP main and go to Prospect Jct where they return to BNSF track to go the the BNSF 31st Street Yard to deliver their train. The street to the left of the train you shot is Eldridge St.
