UP 6933 West - UP Wreck east of Tucson
Author: Keith_Kevet

Unknown number of stack cars on the ground about a mile west of Mescal,AZ, #1 track. #2 track not effected. This location would be between Tucson and Benson (closer to Benson).

Mescal is where the former SP and EP&SW alignments separate; the #1 main would be the former EP&SW diverging to the right in the background of this photo.  Unfortunately, the bowling ball signals are now gone: https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,5831412,5831412#msg-5831412

Track #2 is the "slow track", #1 the fast track. ZLAMQ, ZLAAI, ZLAMN, taking hits. Couldn't have happened at a worse time since it was a busy evening train wise. Crews on the MEPLA, MEWWC, MFWWC stuck east of there last night with crews going DOL while waiting on a parade of eb trains coming out of Tucson.

Looks like it could be an IDILB, longshot would be a ZSALB.  Mostly marine containers in the YouTube video, some domestic, can't make out any trailers, looks 4x1x0.

From the video that I've seen, it was a stringline event on a sharp curve and the momentum of the rear part of the train piled up more cars on top of the tipped cars.

My, the ZKCLB has changed!  That one had a lot more marine containers than the ones I noted in 2025.  Thanks for the i.d.
