Western Railroad Discussion > Deseret Power?

Have a good friend from back east, an NS man, who is in the planning stages of heading out this neck o the woods. Was asking about this operation. I gave him what info I have on it, but that 4-6 years old at best. Can or does anyone have anything recent on this operation? Are they even still in business? If so looking at times, arrivals, anything to help him make the best of his trip. While not the only place he is looking at, just one of a few. Thnx. Ben

I have heard nothing to indicate anything other than "still in operation" and I'm confident a shutdown would have gotten attention. But it's been a couple years since I've seen any trip reports covering this remote railroad.

Deseret is still in service. 

Like many places out west a friendly and courteous phone call to the railroad will give you some good information. Try calling a week before like TO user RayH when he went a month ago.
