I would have never thought years ago that I would go after getting shots of BN/BNSF SD70MAC's. I find myself doing so now.  After seeing so many heading south thru Pueblo Co over the last year finding 1 let alone 6 in service is a treat. I actually find these units decent. Back in 94 when new I didn't think at that time that I would get tired of them. But like lots of things, once they disappear ya find that ya be missing them.  So over the last few days, there have been 6 BNSF SD70Mac's in service on BNSF on the Joint Line here in Colorado. That doesn't count the units that are on the UP tho there are some showing up here in Pueblo from that group.  Today's find was 2 SD70MAC's on the NB E MLTNAM 022A. BNSF SD70ACe 9295 was the leader with BNSF ES44AC 6216 2nd and low and behold BNSF SD70MAC 9406 as the 3rd unit. And yes it was online. But seeing how it was part of the original order for BN of the SD70MAC's, 9400-9474, seeing it still in service and even sounding good as they throttled up a few times while getting my shots, is fantastic considering how many newer builds are now gone to the happy scrapper in the sky.. Here are 3 from toady in Pueblo Colo.

Shot 1. The rear end of BNSF SD70MAC 9570 shows off. This was B/N 946555-29 and shows a bld date of 12-93. Part of the DPU motors on the E MLTNAM 022A.

Shot 2. A roster of the 9570.

Shot 3.  What I originally went to Pueblo to get shots of, the old lady of the group BNSF 9406. Was the 7th blt for BN back in 12-1993 with B/N 926335-7.  33 years of hard duty on her frame. And still going strong.

And a Smile back at that!

A couple more mighty fine ones, one on a UP MNPPR and another on coal loads headed for Michigan via CSX.  The train headed for CSX had another Grinstein, 9786, trailing in the lead consist in Iowa, but it was removed somewhere west of Galebsurg.
