Western Railroad Discussion > UP El Segundo Switcher these days . . .Date: 01/28/04 22:24 UP El Segundo Switcher these days . . . Author: CimaScrambler A week or so ago, this is what the UP El Segundo Switcher looked like as it departed Northrup Grumman for the run back over the hill to South Los Angeles. It had just left the aircraft cars on the left there in the siding, and was hauling tanks from Chevron and several empty spine cars from Learned Lumber. The second engine was the usual UPY559.
This is a pretty good place to catch it - on the bike path beside the storm drain just east of Crenshaw Blvd. The pic could be sharper - I was trying to hand-hold a 400mm lens.
