Pullman House Inn. Portola - the owner is a real trip, right by the UP yard, second story balcony overlooking the yard. Owner will get you the latest schedule from the yard office - and serves a breakfast that will last you a week. Prides himself on his french toast which he serves by the bushel !

in quincy there is the gold pan inn, i think it is a little over priced, but it is acceptable.when are you heading up there. I'll be up there over thanksgaving...

The place is used by the BNSF for away crews from Klamath Falls (off the Gateway Sub). The crews have various nicknames for the place....none of them complimentary!!!
