Snow on the old WP
Author: DaveL

There is more than a foot of snow on the ground in Greenville (3500') and I just heard on the RR radio that there are 4 feet at Almanor (4500'). If this keep up much longer, the BNSF may be forced to use that rotary in Westwood (IF thay can find it!!!) Oh, and I know why they call this snow "Sierra Cement", It holds a ton of water!!

DaveL.....Pictures tomorrow....IF I can get out of my driveway!!!

Update....06:30 12/31

Greenville now has between 18" and 24" on the ground and Hwy 70 was closed most of the night. One CHP officer trying to respond from his home near Quincy said he could not get ou of his driveway....."there is snow coming up over the hood of the patrol car".
The UP is still moving trains in the Feather River Canyon.
