How about the Baseball Jersey logo? Maybe the BNSF execs got the idea for this logo from their softball team jerseys.

By adding this new logo and not changing the colors of H2 does this classify the new logo as Heritage 3 paint scheme?

I figured the Heritage in H1, H2, H3 stopped after, well, H1. I always figured H2 should stand for Halloween 2, both for its orange aspects and for the sheer horror of seeing one. Never forget when I saw my first one in Nebraska (before the railfan magazines had picked up on them...) - my first thought was "Holy crap, that's the ugliest thing I've ever seen!" Just when you thought it couldn't get worse... H3, with the appropriate meaning of H, seems accurate.

That new logo, though. Man, there's a piece of work. Swoosh of doom, marketing's latest folly, or "you paid how much for that thing?"

The last remaining thing " Santa Fe " was the cigar band. Now they painted a black streak through that. I only hope Chico is too old to see what has happened to the " War bonnets ". Thanks for the memories.

You won't mind if I pass on this one. I have a saying but I would loose, lose, lost, miss my privileges to participate here on line.

Besides I think we've kicked this dead horse around enough already.

Someone on a discussion list called it the "Wedgie" logo. Sounds good to me. And if NS dialed back its whiteface scheme because too many people called locomotives with the white wrapped around the windows "raccoons," maybe "Wedgies" will jumpstart the BNSF people?
