I would think that the Red show's train would make it as far as Tehachapi Loop anytime after sundown, and remember this interesting fact about the Circus Train [both, actually]: those extremely bright spotlights on all the coaches would make an eerie site from the nearby interstate, snaking around the curves & the Loop - especially at night! You couldn't miss it, even if you tried - unless there's a dust storm or something to obscure the view.

The Blue Unit, with 4575 on the point had 132 axles. 39 loads musta been part of the train --before everything was put together for the trip to Dallas. I didn't notice any railfans out there, just a local here and there, as far a Little River TX.
