A few recent shots
Author: DelMonteX

We've been lucky enough to have a couple of sunny days in the Puget Sound area, and I was able to take some time of some rail photography. Despite the directives, I met with only friendly waving crews.

The first two were Railpictures.net rejects, something about bad cropping, but I like them anyway.

Anyone need a rooftop shot of a SD70ACE?

What's the box like protrusion above the rear headlights?

Did miss the memo, when and why did UP abandoned the red strip along the frame and shield on the side of the cab?

It's a horn mount. As I understand, at the time of building, new FRA horn regulations weren't finalized. So EMD put a mount back there in case it would be needed.

New FRA regs on side visibility. Applicable to locomotives and cars. Only white and yellow are allowed.

How about a Warbonnet as a parting shot?

ditto, the first two are nice crops with the bridges catching the eye and adding to the scene...
