Steam & Excursion > GGRM's Core List is OutDate: 10/14/05 15:44 GGRM's Core List is Out Author: samreeves I'm sure many other members of the museum have recieved this list. However I'll post it for those who do not get the newsletter. This is the core group of locomotive and rolling stock which will be moving with the museum:
SP 4-6-2 #2472 SP GP9 #3194 SP F7A #6378 SP F7A #6380 SP H12-44 #1487 (F-M switcher) SP #141 "Oakland" biz car SP #2979 heavyweight lounge UP #5901 RPO (display car) SP #6708 Baggage (concession car) SP 5130 Harriman RPO (tool-shop car) SP 2473 Daylight articulated chair car SP 2474 Daylight articulated chair car SP 2360 Shasta Daylight chair car SP 6752 Baggage (tool car) SP 6784 Baggage (storage car) SP 2091 Harriman sub coach SP 2097 Harriman sub coach SP 2143 Harriman sub coach SP 293 Shasta Daylight chair car GGMX 6936 Stage Flat (for x-mas train, events) GGMX 6958 Generator Flat (for x-mas train, events) SP 1043 Steel Caboose Also at this time the newsletter says they are swapping out many trucks with roller bearings as possible. The rolling stock and locomotives which are beyond the museum resources will be part of the sale or traded to museums who can restore them. Also a big push is on by the shop crew to put 2472 back together. It's possible that 2472 would be the motive power for the hospital train this winter. I'm sure more details will be forthcoming. Mike, I believe that the Triple Unit is privately owned. J. Date: 10/14/05 17:37 Re: GGRM's Core List is Out Author: Nitehostler Thank you for posting this...and it prompts a question. Did they at one time own one of the stainless steel ex-Zephyr cars?

Date: 10/15/05 10:40 Re: GGRM's Core List is Out Author: samreeves The 2472 is recieving re-tubing work on its boiler as mandated by FRA rules. There is a paid crew which is working on this in order to expidite the work. The location of where the rolling stock and locomotives will be staying should be disclosed in the next few months.
